Saturday, July 14, 2012– Edgefest was another smashing success and we were so proud to be part of it.
Thousands of patrons joined in our backyard, here at Downsview Park, on one of the hottest days this summer has yet to see. Not only did Mother Nature provide festival goers with a scorcher, but 102.1 The Edge gave those in attendance a piping hot musical line up for 2012. Incredible acts of the day included The Pack A.D., Yukon Blonde, The Sheepdogs, Silversun Pickups, Death from Above 1979 and Billy Talent.
Between acts music fans were able to enjoy a nice cold beverage from the Beer Tent, view and purchase trendy, unique t-shirts and hats from the Merchandise Tent, and shop amongst the various venders onsite.
Also new this year, patrons could dance their way through the large clear-span Electronic Tent which featured up-and-coming DJs and hip hop artists. The atmosphere here was unlike anything that Edgefest has ever showcased in previous years; a more intimate setting with extensive lighting and a full DJ set up atop Varsity Tent’s own classic fire truck. This experience area truly made an impact amongst those who took the time to try something new.
We were pleased to provide Edgefest with their tents for another year and can hardly wait until next year.
