I must thank our valued crew teams for their exceptional performance and eagerness to participate in these great events, exceeding client expectations every where they go. This month we will be sheltering festivities from Toronto/ Hamilton/ Niagara for the Ride to Conquer Cancer, and covering celebrations in Ottawa for Canada Day and various other towns across Ontario.

Hello everyone,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our fearless crews for once again battling the elements and forcing outdoor events to continue throughout these brutal winter months. Heated tent/ event solutions have been more frequent, and just as comfortable as indoor gatherings. Just last week Varsity installed an event solution at a bank branch opening on the date of the worst snowstorm to hit Ontario in 50 years. That event was a pure success!!!

The ramp up for this year’s events is fast and furious; Varsity is very busy with bookings, and event planning.

This year Varsity is proud to announce the arrival of our very first clear span structure. We like to call it the “ARCH SPAN”. It will be available in 40’, 30’, 20’, and 10’ widths with absolutely no centre poles under the tent. This tent will expand into lengths larger than 30’ deep with 15’ increments to a maximum of 120’ deep/long. Basically now your backyard party, business bbq, or rocking event can be housed in a tent with no poles inside allowing for stages and tons of dancing room. We also are offering an early bird special on this tent, just call in and mention that you read about this new tent in this blog and you will receive some unbeatable early bird pricing. Please take a look in the photo gallery for some pictures of the ARCH SPAN.

Stay tuned till next month for the release of all our exciting new products to help make your event unique and exciting!

Bye for now,

Hey everyone,

Happy 2008!

The year of the Tent in Canada! May all functions this year incorporate the great outdoors and bring celebrations outside!

We’re looking forward to another great year here at Varsity Tents and to expanding our services to better serve you – our valued customers.

Special thanks to the weather this January for the mild conditions which allowed for more outdoor tent sales. We had the pleasure of supporting Mark’s Work Wearhouse in Ottawa for their first annual merchandise blowout sale. This event took place during the mild period in January, propane heaters helped to keep the temperature inside the tent to a balmy 18-20 degrees for 12 hrs a day and for 14 days. One night the winds exceeded 100kph, and the tent successfully housed all the merchandise and didn’t blow away. (another great testiment to the excellent installation by the Varsity Crew).

Don’t forget that great outdoor events are easily created, even in the dead of winter!

Bye for now,

Hey everyone,

Welcome to the roll-out of our new more accessible varsitytents.com!

While maintaining our high quality of support, Varsity has seen some new and exciting changes – and I thought I’d start this blog as a way to not only thank all of our loyal clients, but also keep you up to date as to the new ventures we are embarking on.

This past season we’ve also had a lot of fun providing excellent service and support to our regular Canada Day, Caribana, Weekend to End Breast Cancer, and Beer Festivals, as well as great private back yard parties, corporate events and weddings.

We’re very busy and will certainly be getting busier in the future with our continuous expansion into event solutions.

It has also been a pretty momentous year for myself, and I’m currently celebrating my first year of marriage with my beautiful new wife Monique.

I’m sure Johnny would be proud of the direction Varsity is going, but we’re also very interested to hear from you on what you think of the website and our services in general.

The new website includes testimonials from regular clients, Dawne Eisenberg, owner of POP! Toy and Party Services and Simon Stafford, senior technical co-ordinator with the NCC.

A big shout out also goes to Carol at Marigolds & Onions. We threw quite a few successful events from small backyard parties to large scale events like the Weekend to End Breast Cancer across Canada.

Bye for now,
